AB 84 includes new and improved transparency measures in exchange for both Republican and Democratic leaders in the Senate and Assembly opening “legislative caucus committees” that would give them greater influence over campaigns. These committees would allow corporate donors to give $73,000 more to each party and allow each chamber’s party leaders to funnel even more money to candidates they prefer.
