Asm. Eduardo Garcia earned his first perfect Courage Score in his final year in the State Assembly. He maintains a lifetime Courage Score of 83, was a member of the California Legislative Progressive Caucus, and served as Chair of the committees on Water, Parks, and Wildlife, and Renewable Energy Development and Restoration. In 2024, he provided affirmative votes for all 57 of the bills evaluated for this scorecard, and authored AB 2113 to strengthen reporting and review requirements for pesticides being used in the state. During his eight year career in the Assembly, Asm. Garcia proved himself to be skilled in building coalitions and consensus around legislation designed to create lasting progressive change.
