In her fourth term, Assemblymember Reyes has continued to be an effective architect and advocate of meaningful progressive legislation. A strong proponent of environmental protections, she serves as Chair of the Select Committee on State Parks, and co-authored AB241 to direct smog abatement and vehicle registration fees to the Alternative and Renewable Vehicle Technology Fund, and to increase public funding for electric vehicle infrastructure. Building on her previous legislative work, which has included championing immigration support services, equal pay, and policies supporting working mothers and women of color, she authored AB504 this session to strengthen the rights of workers involved in labor strikes. Completing a two year stint as Majority Leader in July 2023 and maintaining a lifetime Courage Score of 98, Assemblymember Reyes’s track record and strong support for progressive legislation demonstrates her influential leadership and impactful approach to policy change.
