A four-time All-Star, Asm. Miguel Santiago departs the State Assembly with a strong legislative record. A former community organizer, he co-authored ACA 10 to return power to voters by reducing the vote threshold for passage of a local bond measure. In 2024, in addition to his work on this important piece of legislation, he voted in favor of 57 of the bills evaluated for this scorecard, solidifying his place as a progressive leader. He was also a member of the California Legislative Latino Caucus, the California Legislative Progressive Caucus, and Chair of the committee on Communications and Conveyance. A seasoned legislator, Asm. Santiago was a skillful and consistent presence in the Assembly, and a persistent advocate for social reforms that improve the lived experience of Californians.
